Harbour Lights

Harbour lights,
Welcome sailors home to
safety.
Waiting families wave and cheer,
Praise God for bringing them home safely yet again.
Berth secure.
arm in arm, sailors and kin
walk to lamp lit cottages
Home at last.
Mothers, children gather round,listen
to fathers tales of mountainous waves, howling winds,
Strange beasts in far off lands, even stranger men.
The children ,wide eyed, open mouthed wonder,
wait the greatest treat, father opening his old
sea treasure chest.
